Title: FAR 2015/66 Fishery characterisation and standardised CPUE analyses for white warehou, Seriolella caerulea, 1989–90 to 2013–14.
FAR_2015_66_WWA-Characterisation.pdf
(16.6 MB)
This report includes a description of all New Zealand white warehou fisheries catches from 1999–00 to 2013–14, for WWA 1–9 by stock and fishery area. It describes CPUE analyses for the main fishery areas, a summary of observer size frequency data; a summary of trawl survey biomass and size frequency data; and a review of stock structure. It makes recommendations on future data requirements and methods for monitoring the stocks.

Title: Fisheries Risks to the Population Viability of White-capped Albatross Thalassarche steadi
AEBR_104.pdf
(378.1 kb)
This report attempts to assess fisheries risks to the viability of the main population of white-capped albatrosss (Thalassarche steadi), which breeds on the Auckland Islands. Three types of data were available: bycatch, photographic surveys, and mark-recapture. The mark-recapture data provided estimates of adult survival (0.96 with a 95% confidence interval of 0.91–1.00), annual probability of breeding (0.68, C.I. 0.58–0.81), and breeding success (0.63, C.I. 0.51–0.75).
